Chokehold World Premiere at Brighton Rocks International Film Festival

Chokehold has officially premiered at the BIFA-Qualifying Brighton Rocks International Film Festival, marking an exciting milestone for the film as it made its world premiere in front of a festival audience.

The team were delighted to share the film as part of the Drama Rocks III: What The Children Saw screening block at The Daltons, followed by a short filmmaker Q&A. Writer and director Christopher Bevan was joined by cast members Eddie Coates, Philip Bedwell and Lis Hipkiss for the screening. A huge thank you to Brighton Rocks International Film Festival for the warm welcome and for including Chokehold in such a brilliant line-up of short films. It was a privilege to premiere the film alongside so many talented filmmakers and share our work with a fantastic festival audience.

The premiere marked the next step in Chokehold’s journey, following a special BFI Network preview earlier in the month at Flatpack Film Festival. We’re thrilled to have introduced the film to wider audiences and look forward to sharing more news about what comes next.

Chokehold is written and directed by Christopher Bevan, produced by Catriona Kelly of camakel productions in association with YSP Media, and generously supported by BFI NETWORK.
